Medi-Weightloss® Providers often prescribe Zepbound™ as part of a comprehensive and personalized weight loss program.

Zepbound™ (tirzepatide) belongs to the class of medications known as GLP-1 receptor agonists. Tirzepatide is a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. Tirzepatide mimics both GLP-1 and another gut hormone called gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP).

Zepbound™ is specifically indicated for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight conditions. It's given through a shot just beneath the skin. The body naturally releases hormones called GLP-1 and GIP after eating, and these help control insulin, manage sugar levels, and control hunger. Zepbound™ works by acting like these hormones, helping to control sugar levels and curb appetite, which can lead to weight loss.

As with any medication, it's important to use Zepbound™ under the supervision and guidance of a healthcare professional who can assess its appropriateness for an individual's specific health needs and provide necessary monitoring.
