FAQs
What weight loss medications does Medi-Weightloss offer?
Medi-Weightloss offers the full range of FDA-approved weight loss medications, including Zepbound® (tirzepatide), Wegovy® (semaglutide), Saxenda® (liraglutide), Contrave® (bupropion-naltrexone), Foundayo™️ (orforglipron), and oral appetite suppressants like Phentermine and Phendimetrazine. When brand-name GLP-1s aren’t available or covered, we also offer compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide through licensed pharmacies. Your Medi-Weightloss provider will evaluate your health history and prescribe the right option for you.
What is the difference between Wegovy and Zepbound?
Wegovy® and Zepbound® are both FDA-approved, once-weekly injections for chronic weight management — but they work a little differently. Wegovy is semaglutide, which mimics the GLP-1 hormone. Zepbound is tirzepatide, which mimics both GLP-1 and GIP hormones — a dual mechanism that produced greater average weight loss in its clinical trials. At your Medi-Weightloss consultation, we’ll recommend the option that fits your health history, goals, and insurance coverage.
