How does shopping for smaller sizes feel? It’s been nice going to the stores and picking stuff off the regular racks instead of going to the plus size or the “big stores.” No more going and getting a 3x, 4x, or even 5x and that is a really nice feeling, it was the first time in a while that I was able to do that. Running into a store and looking through their regular sizing was a big victory for me. How has losing weight improved your confidence? It’s been great. I’ve changed a lot. I am not as worried about going out and my self-confidence has significantly increased. Seeing people that I hadn’t seen in a while and having them say nice things about my weight loss was really great. Some friends couldn’t even recognize me when they saw me. It was a wonderful feeling. Have you started exercising more? Currently I work out about 3 times a week and started to train for a 5k that I will be running before the end of the year. I have also been considering signing up for a marathon in the coming months. Those things were definitely out of the picture for me before I lost the weight. It feels great to be able to exercise without all of the extra weight on me. What would you say to someone considering joining the program? I would say most definitely give it a go. If you stick to the program it definitely does work and you will see the results even if you only need to lose a few pounds. How did you hear about the program? My wife’s friend’s husband was on it and his results were great. You couldn’t help but be inspired by his tremendous weight loss. I was plateauing trying to lose weight on my own so I thought I would give it a go and see if it could work for me. I got on the program and within the first month I had already lost 20 pounds. It was great and exactly what I needed!
