Have you hit a weight loss plateau? You’ve been working meticulously to improve your eating and exercise habits, but the number on the scale won’t budge. If you’ve hit a weight loss plateau, you will need to make minor adjustments to your daily routine. Here are some tips to help you get back on track.

  • Reassess your habits. Reevaluate your progress by looking back at your Weight Management Journal. Have you been eating larger portions? Are you working out less?
  • Tweak your fitness routine. Consider slightly modifying your workout duration. If you’re unable to extend your workout session, try increasing the frequency or intensity of your workout by adding more reps. You don’t have to just workout at the gym. Find small ways to incorporate fitness into your daily schedule. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, or try standing for short periods at your desk.
  • Get some more zzz’s. Sleep deprivation can affect your health and your weight loss progress. Lack of sleep can change your metabolism for the worse.
  • Break through your plateau with our Plateau Buster. Our Plateau Buster helps you lose inches by breaking down stored fat.

It is common to experience a weight loss plateau; however, by taking the adequate steps you can begin to lose weight again and achieve your goal weight. Talk to your Medi-Weightloss® practitioner to see if there are additional ways you can get over your plateau.
