Creepy Peanut & Apple Teeth

Ingredients

  • 1 Apple (add more if needed)
  • Peanuts (or desired nut)

 

Preparation

  • Take 1 apple and quarter it so that there are 4 equal pieces.
  • On the skin side of the quarters, carve out an oval by cutting into the piece at 2 intersecting angles.
  • Continue shaping to satisfaction.
  • Push peanuts into the top and bottom of the quarters.

 

Tangerine Pumpkins

  • 4 tangerines
  • 1 stalk celery

 

Preparation

  • Cut the celery lengthwise into thirds and then across into 1/2 inch pieces.
  • Insert the celery pieces the tops of the peeled tangerines to resemble pumpkins.

Scary Good Burgers

Ingredients

  • 16 oz extra lean ground turkey
  • 8 oz 97% lean ground beef
  • ¼ cup diced onion(s)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tbsp parsley
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 6 slice Kraft Fat-Free Singles
  • 12 leaves romaine lettuce

  • Cook Time:     15 minutes
  • Serves:            6
  • Serving Size:   1 burger

Directions

  • Mix ground turkey, beef, onion, egg, parsley, garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper and form into 6 patties.
  • Cook patties as desired (grill, skillet).
  • While burgers are cooking, cut cheese into jack-o-lantern. Once burgers are done, place 1 slice of cheese on each patty.
  • Cut romaine and use two leaves to create bun.

 

Additional Notes

This is an easy and fun meal for the kids to help prepare. Let them wash the lettuce or cut the cheese.

  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 4 cups low sodium vegetable broth
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 15-oz can pumpkin
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 3 tsp Tabasco® sauce
  • ½ cup Silk® light plain soymilk
