Halloween is coming! We wanted to share a few creative workout moves to keep you fit during spooky season! Consider adding 1 or all of these to your existing workout. Also, don't forget you can always head out on a run or fast-paced walk to get your heart rate up while listening to some spooky tunes!

Creeping Spider

This fun exercise will strengthen your core muscles and provide a great cardio workout. Begin in the plank position on your hands. Move your left hand and foot forward. Your left knee should touch your left elbow. Repeat on the opposite side. Perform this movement as fast as possible. During this exercise, your body will look like a spider. You can even wear a Spider-Man costume to make your workout more fun!

Pumpkin Overhead Extensions

Want to tone your triceps and get rid of flabby arms? You can perform this exercise sitting or standing. Remember to keep your abs engaged. Begin with the pumpkin overhead and arms fully extended. Bend at your elbows and move the pumpkin back and down behind your head until you have reached a 90-degree angle. Return the pumpkin and your arms to the starting position. Be sure to keep your elbows locked in toward your head and ears during the extension.

Spooky Squats

Are you familiar with goblet squats? This fun, yet challenging exercise usually requires a dumbbell or kettle bell, but since it's Halloween, you can use a pumpkin instead. Stand tall while holding the pumpkin in both hands in front of your chest. Squat as low as you can while keeping your chest and head up. Use your elbows to push your knees out. Return to the starting position and repeat. This exercise works the quads, hamstrings, and glutes.
