Are you hungry? Even after a meal? We have all had that feeling of not being satisfied. There’s no need to worry, though. Our Medi-Weightloss® Experts are sharing some of their best advice to keep you from reaching for seconds, reducing your cravings, and inspiring healthy living.
Drink water. Then drink some more. We often mistake thirst for hunger. That is why it is so important to stay hydrated. We recommend 64-128 oz of water and zero-calorie fluids daily. So before you head to the vending machine, drink 8 oz water and wait 30 minutes. (You may add Crystal Light® or other low-calorie water flavorings). If you are still hungry, then choose your favorite Signature Snack. They’re all packed with protein to help you stay fuller longer.
Slow down. Eating is not a race. Enjoy your meals and chew thoroughly. Eating slower will help you feel full sooner because the stomach has enough time to send the signals of fullness to the brain. Take some time out to socialize at the table and talk about your day (just not with your mouthful).
Chew on this. Gum reduces hunger and keeps your mouth preoccupied at one hundredth of the calorie cost of a cupcake! Remember to choose sugar-free varieties.
Don’t skip breakfast! Studies have shown that people who regularly eat breakfast consume less fat and cholesterol throughout the day. Research also suggests that individuals who consume breakfast have more energy and therefore engage in more physical activity.
Stay active. Create an exercise schedule and stick to it. If you need more motivation, grab a fitness buddy and join a class together. If group fitness classes aren’t for you, consider an instructional DVD or in-home exercise equipment such as the InterActive Exercise Activator.
Curb cravings. Ask your Medi-Weightloss® healthcare provider how you can curb cravings and lose 45% more weight with phendimetrazine.* When prescribed by a clinician, appetite suppressants can be a safe and easy way to feel satisfied longer.
*Based on a retrospective analysis of 477 patients who attended a single Medi-Weightloss® location, which revealed that patients who qualified for phendimetrazine and chose to take it lost 45% more weight by week 16 than patients who qualified to take phendimetrazine but chose not to take it. Email ClinicalOutcomes@mediweightloss.com to learn more. On average, patients compliant with the Medi-Weightloss® Program lose 6.4 pounds the first week and 14 pounds the first month. Rapid weight loss may be associated with certain medical conditions and should only be considered by those who are medically appropriate.
